Campaign #Women4Multilateralism
A exposição “Women4multulateralism” is an initiative of the European Union Delegation to the United Nations in Geneva and the Permanent Mission of Gabon. It features women leaders from countries with Permanent Missions in Geneva (contemporary or historical) who championed the cause of multilateralism, human rights (including women's rights), development, or peace and security, giving visibility to their work. The exhibition also includes young female activists pursuing these ideals at grassroots level, as well as women leading the multilateral process in top positions at the UN or other International Organisations. In 2023 and 2024 the Foundation will be involved in the project “Parliament for the Future of Europe (PaFutEU)”, a multi-year project led by Democracy International, which aims to promote the involvement of citizens in the debate on the Future of Europe and mobilize for the 2024 European elections, paying special attention to groups with less participation and/or in situations of greater vulnerability, in the Portuguese case young women and/or those with migration backgrounds.
