Executive Summary

Introduction
The project “Ouvir o Presente, Cuidar o Futuro: Pay tribute to Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo”, foi apoiado pela Secretaria de Estado para a Cidadania e a Igualdade de Género e concretizou-se através de uma parceria com a Plataforma Portuguesa para os Direitos das Mulheres.
Its main objectives were to disseminate the legacy of Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo as a prominent civic, public and political figure at national and international level; and to deepen, strengthen and democratise knowledge and recognition of her action and innovative thinking, promoting social action and mobilisation, especially women's action, while also identifying leads for new proposals for social organisation and a new collective commitment to the future.
To achieve these objectives, a set of activities was developed in three major areas: Promotion of Studies and strengthening of Publications; Local civic mobilisation through public hearings; and National Tribute to Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo.

Results
On one hand, the republication, translation and creation of a significant set of publications ensures not only the dissemination of the legacy, but supports its deepening, the creation of knowledge and mobilisation actions. Making all publications available from the Foundation's website provides a future sustainability factor, enabling their widespread dissemination and use. It should be noted that it was possible to systematise and organise knowledge around the Public Hearing model in a specific Notebook, making this model accessible and replicable.
On the other hand, participation in events and the holding of Public Hearings made it possible to (re)place on the agenda and disseminate to a broader target population the ethical-political thinking of Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo, as a contribution to raising awareness and as a basis for reflection/action, a fact all the more relevant given its ongoing relevance and coherence with the International Sustainable Development Agenda.
The partnership with the postgraduate programme of the Institute of Social and Political Sciences “Education for Sustainable Global Peace – Caring for the Common Future”, in which Fundação Cuidar o Futuro collaborates, also allows for a sustainable application of the products created through the project, with a foreseeable impact on knowledge/action production.
Although it was not possible to carry out the planned public tribute, for reasons of an institutional and contextual nature that go beyond the scope of the project, the team developed all possible actions to support it, in line with the provisions of the Letter of Commitment. It promoted meetings, ensured attendance at all meetings convened by the Parliament, mobilised skills and created two alternative exhibition proposals, made a programme proposal, and mobilised alternative partners to the Parliament.

A second print run (an additional 500 copies) was very recently made as the 1st edition was sold out.

| – Condeixa, 9 March 2019 | – Condeixa Hearing: 13 Testimonies were presented. The preparation and framing of the Condeixa Public Hearing involved local authorities, including the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of the municipality and 15 facilitators. It directly involved 5 villages, 3 local associations, 1 Scout Group and the Municipal Library, in addition to Testimonies from 5 people. 50 people attended the public session.
Neste quadro e como comemoração do 8 de março, dia anterior à Audição, o Município de Condeixa realizou uma homenagem através de uma cerimónia invocativa e uma exposição sobre a “Vida e a Obra de Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo”. Esta homenagem mereceu destaque na imprensa, nomeadamente no DN. |

| – Bairro da Ajuda, in Lisbon, took place at various times | – Audição no Bairro da Ajuda: a atividade “Audições Públicas” foi concretizada em colaboração com a Cátedra UNESCO Educação para a Paz Global Sustentável, do Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Políticas of the University de Lisboa e a Junta de Freguesia do Bairro da Ajuda. As atividades propostas consistiram na realização de Audições Intermédias envolvendo o polo Universitário e o Bairro da Ajuda.
The Intermediate Hearings with students of the Chair in the classroom involved about 30 students. A Hearing of students of the Senior University of Ajuda was held, with 8 participants. A group of 5 people from the local community was facilitated by a group of Postgraduate students within the framework of the UNESCO Chair in Education for Sustainable Global Peace, at the Parish Council premises. The final session, Public Hearing, took place on 28 February 2020, in which the results of the partial Hearings were shared. About 30 people from various entities participated in this activity, representing projects in the area of ecological sustainability and personal development. This Hearing was held within the framework of the celebration of the International Day of Happiness. |

| – Lousa, 8 March 2020 | – Audição da Lousã: consulta a toda a população sobre “A Floresta e a Qualidade de Vida” – O PLANETA É MEU! É TEU! É NOSSO! NÃO O DESTRUAS.” Esta atividade foi organizada pela associação local “Arte-Via”.
Estiveram presentes na Audição cerca de 30 pessoas, das quais 20 mulheres e 10 homens. A Audição teve a participação de mulheres, homens e crianças da região cujas vidas e economias dependem/ dependiam da floresta. Foram apresentados “testemunhos” preparados antecipadamente em grupos na comunidade sobre o então e o agora e apresentadas propostas para o futuro. Foram apresentados 10 testemunhos. |

| Area C – National Tribute to Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo | – Dissemination of the legacy of Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo as a prominent civic, public, and political figure at national and international level through the institutional page of FCF, PPdM and Social Media. – Assembly of the Republic 2018 – Working meetings with the Chief of Staff of the President of the Assembly of the Republic. 2019 – A tribute proposal to take place during the month of March 2019 was officially sent by letter to the President of the Assembly of the Republic. Partnership with the Parish Council of Arroios, which made space available for preparing the exhibition. Working meetings with Dr. Rui Costa, Chief of the Information and Culture Office of the Assembly of the Republic, Programming of the exhibition on Maria de Lourdes Pintasilgo, during the month of April 2019, with inauguration on 28 March, until 25 April. It would be up to FCF and PpDM to organise, mobilise and hold a colloquium. Exhibition proposal sent. – Identification of alternative partners for holding the tribute, such as the Presidency of the Republic and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. |
